Is Your Car Insurance Complete?

Posted by Bianca Fredricksen in Life Insurance

When was the last time you looked at your car insurance policy? Do you know if you have all the coverage you’d need if you got into an accident? Not all car insurance policies are created equal.

  • Does your car insurance policy include roadside assistance, in case you get locked out or get a flat?
  • Does your car insurance policy have towing on it (or do you have AAA)?
  • If you’re in an accident, do you have coverage for a rental car?
  • If you have glass break, does your policy offer a $0 deductible?
  • How about Personal Injury Protection (PIP)? If you’re in a not-at-fault accident (or you’re in someone else’s car), it will protect you from medical bills. We suggest coverage at $35K.
  • Do you also have home or renters insurance? Are they with the same company? You can save money by getting your car insurance agent to combine them with the same company.
  • Do you only have collision on your car? If you have a car that’s worth over $2,000, you should think about getting comprehensive car insurance to protect it against theft and other non-collision related problems.

Make sure you know what’s on your car insurance policy. If you don’t know how to read it or don’t know some of the terms used, check our online glossary or contact your Balcos car insurance agent.

We’re here to help you and want to make sure you have the best car insurance protection possible at a price you can afford.
